What Does Tour Mean To You?
This year's Tour Choir members were asked to share what Tour means to them, and, although we can't fit all the responses here, they all had a similar tone. Some thoughts may remind you of your time in the Tour Choir. Feel free to share your thoughts.
"Tour Choir is such a blessing. It is one of my favorite things I've done at Immanuel and is something I love looking forward too. I have made so many memories and I look forward to this as a trip of Christian fellowship and to help grow in my faith while worshipping with others. It is so special to be able to share the Word of God in such a way, and seeing how incredibly special this is to the congregations we visit."
"Tour choir is an opportunity to personally grow in my faith as well as ministering to those who are in fellowship with us that we don't often get to see. Not only is it spiritually uplifting, but it is incredibly fun."
"Tour Choir is easily the most meaningful experience I've had in my highschool years. I've been involved in a variety of other school activities, but Tour Choir is the one I'll remember for the rest of my life. The week of Tour is the most soul-refreshing week of the year. Getting to travel and sing God's praises with friends and fellow Christians every single day is such a blessing. It reminds me that yes, education is important, but most of all, we're here to spread God's word and share the joy of His message by lifting up others. I'm really sad that this is my last year, but I'm thankful for all of the memories I've made and people I've connected with in my last three Tours."
"It means not only getting to worship with fellow Christians that you don’t get to see often but also sharing your faith with others and praising the Lord with song. It’s so rewarding getting to spread the Gospel message through song, and talking with people after the concert and seeing how much the congregations appreciates us coming is so amazing."
"It means a memorable experience sharing God’s Word in song and praise with others all over the country. It means precious and funny moments made either friends and strengthening friendships, and a good opportunity to propose."
The group was also asked about their favorite memory of the trip to Washington state.
Favorite Song This Year? Abendlied and The Power of the CrossThere are too many favorite memories to count but I loved being able to meet all of the kids at the different congregations. Our concert in Clarkston was such a fun experience. The valley with the mountains and hills was beautiful and we got to spend a lot of time talking and playing with the kids that sang with us.
Sam and Trinity’s proposal, the shenanigans the guys always get into(a few in particular), having fun jokes and laughs with Prof, FOOD, girl’s nights, singing our fav songs in St. John’s Cathedral.
Playing kickball with the kids in Clarkston
My favorite memory was at the girls' Airbnb when we were celebrating Trinity and Sam's engagement and we woke up early to watch the sunrise together.
FOOODD and Singing with the congregation on the last song
The Clam Chowder Sour Dough Bread Bowl
We made a lot of pastors cry, and us coming out to Washington meant a lot to a whole lot of people. You could tell how grateful they were which was really special. You could also tell what their love language was, because the food was AMAZING! Singing for Sam and Trinity's engagement was also very special.
I was talking to a lady after one of the concerts and she told me that she didn’t really want to come and her son told her that she should come. So, she did. Then she said it was one of the best concerts she had ever been to and she loved the message that we shared through it. It just made me really happy to hear how much someone appreciated our concert, and to hear how someone who didn’t know anything about us took the time to come and listen to us.
