Sharing Their Light!

Hi all,

I wanted to share some comments that I received from Steve Gilbertson, the Vietnam vet, that I invited to speak to the juniors for History 11 today. He has given this talk for 10 years at Chi Hi, as well as spoken at McDonnell in Chippewa Falls. He was very impressed with our campus, and he mentioned how, right away, he could tell that there was something different about the students in the halls here - just how they acted and carried themselves. Steve commented several times during his presentation and afterwards how impressed he was with the class - how respectful they were and the quality of questions they asked. He told them that they were the best class he's ever presented to. I was very happy to see many of them go up to him, shake his hand, and say "thank you" at the end of his talk.

It's good for us to get these outside perspectives of our students, and see how they do let their light shine.  We are blessed with great students!

The Banquet & After Banquet

The annual spring Banquet continues to be a exciting event for Immanuel students who either bring a date or attend with their friends. Back several years ago the parents decided to create a fun, entertaining After Banquet atmosphere for the students. The amount of work the parents go through is totally unbelievable! From finding a theme, creating decorations, getting suitable playlists, finding an emcee(s), rounding up gift prizes for students, and hosting fun games for the students to play that night, the number of hours spent is in the hundreds! This year's theme was "game shows" and thanks to the Game Show Network, most of the students recognized the games. It would not be surprising if next year's theme is already decided on.  Several albums have been shared by David & Nicole Lang and Marcy & Nate Gurgel. “We’re baaaack…” Lancer Soccer 2025

  “We’re baaaack…” Lancer Soccer 2025 When soccer came online as a team sport in 2001, the Lancers had to operate as a club team until 2018. The 2001 team included Jeff Aymond, father of Lancer freshman Nolan Aymond. After a stretch of 18 seasons, the Lancers saw an upgrade from club status to a WIAA JV team that played its first season in the fall of 2019. Unfortunately, with COVID disruptions and a drop in player participation, the Lancers managed only one more normal season of scheduled WIAA games until our current season this fall. The 2025 roster includes 14 players, who have been competitive in their first two games, both played on the road. The Lancers managed a 2-2 comeback draw at Baldwin-Woodville JV followed by a 1-0 loss to Chippewa Falls JV. What Does Tour Mean To You?

This year's Tour Choir members were asked to share what Tour means to them, and, although we can't fit all the responses here, they all had a similar tone. Some thoughts may remind you of your time in the Tour Choir. Feel free to share your thoughts. "Tour Choir is such a blessing. It is one of my favorite things I've done at Immanuel and is something I love looking forward too. I have made so many memories and I look forward to this as a trip of Christian fellowship and to help grow in my faith while worshipping with others.
