Whitewater Camp

The cold and snow around campus have been very unpredictable lately, but recently some of our ILC students made a trek to Whitewater camp in Minnesota. They joined a group from Immanuel High School in Mankota for a fun-filled weekend in the cold. The weekend was filled with snow, friends (both old and new), warm fires, breezy hikes, beautiful music, and Christian fellowship. This year, the camp’s devotions were based on prayer. Pastors Radichel, Schaller, and Mayhew led studies on why prayer is important, communicating with God, and using fasting as a tool.

Throughout their weekend, campers could hike numerous trails, play board games with friends, or sit by a warm fire. A fun activity Saturday night provided a nice flair of competition to the evening. Teams competed in Minute to Win it with challenges like keeping balloons in the air, balancing dice on a popsicle stick held in your mouth, or catching ping pong balls in cups. Prizes of candy were awarded to all.

Whitewater was a great experience for everyone involved. It gave a nice break to the monotony of winter months, and a good chance to learn more about God’s word while exploring His creation.

Flowers blooming? Trees blossoming? Grass greening? Signs of spring, yes, but on the Immanuel campus, there are some unique yet familiar to former students, signs of spring besides what the Lord has created for us in nature. 🌺 TRACK:  Coaches Steve Sydow and Eve Naumann and assistants begin working with this year's group of track athletes. The pleasant weather means they may get out sooner than usual. Practice begins Monday, March 4. 🌳  SOFTBALL/BASEBALL:  The unseasonably mild weather may also allow softball coaches Lillo and Tiefel and baseball coaches Lau and Roehl to get their teams outside earlier than usual and participate in their full schedule of  practices and  games. Senior Class Trip 2024

The senior class trip was a success yesterday! The Lord blessed us with amazing weather, safe travels and a lot of fun fellowship.  We spent a couple hours at Sky Zone in the morning, then ate lunch downtown St. Paul at an Italian restaurant called  Cossetta . We spent the afternoon at the beach at Homestead Parklands County Park near Hudson and grilled hot dogs and hamburgers for supper. Finally we drove to downtown Hudson for ice cream at Knoke's , then took a walk along the riverfront as the sun set. Many thanks to Christian & Kea Goodman, Morgan Lone, and April Sydow for chaperoning, driving, and for bringing food & games for the trip! Also, thank you, seniors, for letting your light shine everywhere you went. We're Not Just Smart!

 The Lord has blessed our students in many ways, academically and athletically and in a number of other ways. Here are two examples of the athletic gifts with which our students have been blessed. Cross Country Report:  Our cross-country team put in another great performance at the Dairyland Conference meet in Augusta. In spite of having 4 runners out sick, six of our Lancers set new personal bests, and  our boys managed to bring home the Dairyland Conference Champion trophy for the second year in a row!  Congratulations to our Lancers for their hard work all season long that led up to this, and especially to our all-conference athletes: Logan Thompson (1st place, conference champion), Dulton Eberhardt (6th), Simeon Schaller (8th), Caleb Eichstadt (9th), and Lydia Kloke (9th).
