Keep Your Eyes on the Road!

Once each semester, we try to schedule a lyceum (assembly) for the students. For 1 or 2 periods, regular classes are put on hold and the student body meets in the gym for a presentation.

Our first lyceum of the school year took place last week. WI State Trooper Knutson spoke about safe driving. His topics included distracted driving, phone use while driving, seatbelt use, what to do if you are involved in an accident, etc. He shared many photos and videos to drive home his points. He engaged the students by tossing them candy as they answered his questions.

Trooper Knutson's presentation was very relevant for these new drivers, but also served as a good reminder for those more experienced drivers.

Flowers blooming? Trees blossoming? Grass greening? Signs of spring, yes, but on the Immanuel campus, there are some unique yet familiar to former students, signs of spring besides what the Lord has created for us in nature. 🌺 TRACK:  Coaches Steve Sydow and Eve Naumann and assistants begin working with this year's group of track athletes. The pleasant weather means they may get out sooner than usual. Senior Class Trip 2024

The senior class trip was a success yesterday! The Lord blessed us with amazing weather, safe travels and a lot of fun fellowship.  We spent a couple hours at Sky Zone in the morning, then ate lunch downtown St. Paul at an Italian restaurant called  Cossetta . We spent the afternoon at the beach at Homestead Parklands County Park near Hudson and grilled hot dogs and hamburgers for supper. Finally we drove to downtown Hudson for ice cream at Knoke's , then took a walk along the riverfront as the sun set. Many thanks to Christian & Kea Goodman, Morgan Lone, and April Sydow for chaperoning, driving, and for bringing food & games for the trip! Also, thank you, seniors, for letting your light shine everywhere you went.
